Searching for alcoholism treatment?

Alcohol rehab programs are expensive. Sadly, long-term relapse rates range from 20 to 80 percent. So, you’re betting your life and your finances on the flip of a coin. Hope is not a strategy. So, if you’re not 100 percent sure that alcoholism treatment will work, sobriety will be a battle. Because you can’t fight for peace and win.

I consumed half a 750 mL of Grey Goose every day. Sometimes a bottle of wine too. My life was dissolving into darkness. Now, I don’t worry about my “sobriety.” I don’t identify as a recovering alcoholic. Because alcohol doesn’t appeal to me. It has no power in my mind. Being around people who are drinking doesn’t register on my radar. And I don’t feel left out because I have no desire to participate.

Alcoholism treatment programs treat the symptoms–not the problem

Alcoholism is not a drinking problem. It’s a thinking problem—a mental health issue. You’re stuck in a thought-loop—Crazy Town—Groundhog Day. Because thinking old thoughts and expecting new results is insane. Since childhood, you’ve been brainwashed to believe that you need alcohol to relax. It’s a reward. And drinking is social and normal and fun. You can’t imagine a life that is better without alcohol. Because you’ve never even tried.

What if you don’t need intense alcoholism treatment to fix what is wrong with you? What if you’re not psychologically fragile or mentally defective? The truth is that alcohol is a highly addictive substance. So, addiction is NORMAL—to be expected. Furthermore, everyone who drinks are vulnerable to dependency. Except for a small percentage of people, breaking the physical addiction is at most mildly uncomfortable for a few days. Hangovers are much worse!
