Searching for alcoholism treatment?

Alcohol rehab programs are expensive. Sadly, long-term relapse rates range from 20 to 80 percent. So, you’re betting your life and your finances on the flip of a coin. Hope is not a strategy. So, if you’re not 100 percent sure that alcoholism treatment will work, sobriety will be a battle. Because you can’t fight for peace and win.

What if you could be certain? What if you can stop drinking AND stop wanting to drink? And do both without the typical drama and social stigma? You can. Because done correctly, recovery feels like a stay of execution. You’ll be no more tempted to drink alcohol than to eat dog shit. Freedom is an option — no matter how much you’re drinking right now and even if you drink every day. You can learn to feel happy and grateful about not drinking. Because it’s a choice—a skill. I can teach you. You can practice. Together, we’ll make this happen. This can be over.

I consumed half a 750 mL of Grey Goose every day. Sometimes a bottle of wine too. My life was dissolving into darkness. Now, I don’t worry about my “sobriety.” I don’t identify as a recovering alcoholic. Because alcohol doesn’t appeal to me. It has no power in my mind. Being around people who are drinking doesn’t register on my radar. And I don’t feel left out because I have no desire to participate.

Alcoholism treatment programs treat the symptoms–not the problem

Alcoholism is not a drinking problem. It’s a thinking problem—a mental health issue. You’re stuck in a thought-loop—Crazy Town—Groundhog Day. Because thinking old thoughts and expecting new results is insane. Since childhood, you’ve been brainwashed to believe that you need alcohol to relax. It’s a reward. And drinking is social and normal and fun. You can’t imagine a life that is better without alcohol. Because you’ve never even tried.

What if you don’t need intense alcoholism treatment to fix what is wrong with you? What if you’re not psychologically fragile or mentally defective? The truth is that alcohol is a highly addictive substance. So, addiction is NORMAL—to be expected. Furthermore, everyone who drinks are vulnerable to dependency. Except for a small percentage of people, breaking the physical addiction is at most mildly uncomfortable for a few days. Hangovers are much worse!

Recovery University is an alcoholism treatment program that will restore your mental health. Because beating addiction is a side-effect of clear thinking. And the goal is to create a life you don’t want to escape. You’ll learn how to make small decisions instead of overthinking everything. You’ll feel better as you do better. It’s an upward spiral. And it gets easier with practice.

How to Overcome Alcohol Use Disorder

To overcome alcohol use disorder you must admit that alcohol is causing more stress than it's worth. It's not fun anymore. Drinking too much is a form of self-neglect, not self-care.

Becoming a Non-Drinker

You’re not alone. Many of us have been duped into using alcohol as a consolation prize for neglecting our needs–and then criticized for becoming dependent on it. Win/win for the patriarchy! I was able to quit drinking after 30 years without AA, rehab or willpower. My energy, vitality and joy have returned. I help professional women see that sobriety is a superpower, not a disease.
